Services Fees & Insurance
Students annually afford
the following fees; the outcome of every fee is allocated for the performed service.
1- Service fees:
| Library fees for student of BA and B.S.c. degree | 50 piasters |
| Library fees for student of Master’s degree | 75 piasters |
| Union fees | 150 piasters |
| Medical services fees | 500 piasters |
| Accident-insurance fees | 25 piasters |
| Fees for the students' aid fund | 50 piasters |
BA, BSc, or MA students
shall pay these fees all at once before commencing the academic year. In addition,
the registered student shall annually pay the same fees to obtain the Doctorate
or the Master’s Degree.
Assistant professors
and lecturers at the universities are exempted from these fees, while other students
are not.
2- Laboratory Fees &
Tools Insurance
Students of practical
universities and of theoretical ones whose sections perform laboratory studies shall
pay the amount of three pounds (3 pounds)
as extra fees for laboratories on the first registration.
Concerning students of
Master Degree, excluding assistant professors and lecturers, they must pay seventy-five
(75) pounds as fees on the first registration. The outcome of these fees shall be
allocated for the laboratory service and the teaching staff as a whole.
Besides the laboratories
fees, students of Faculty of Dentistry shall pay insurance on tools and devices
given to them as a responsibility that is to be fully restored flawless; the insurance
is seven (7) pounds on registration in the first academic year and fifteen pounds
(15) on registration in another advanced year as the plan of its study necessitates
using these tools and devices. Student gets insurance back on ending their studies
at the university.
In all cases, student
must obtain an acquaintance from the concerned faculty on ending or on stopping
his study.
Student in the Faculty
of Pharmacy shall pay four (4) pounds in return for a reward given for the pharmacy
in which he takes the training.
3- At the beginning of
the academic year, irregular students shall pay one-hundred and fifty (150) piasters
as fees for joining the military training, library fees a sum of fifty (50) piasters,
and twenty-five (25) piasters as accident-insurance fees. These fees shall not be
dropped.
Irregular student may
make use of the medical services and the financial aid submitted for students if
he pays the required fees.
